To make these felt Christmas baubles, you will need:
- Grey, White, Green and Brown Felt
- Green and Silver Jingle Bells
- Buttons Assortment
- Toy Polyester Stuffing Material
- White Satin Ribbon
- Tapestry Wool
- Needle
Now you’ve got your Christmas crafting essentials together, follow these simple steps to make your felt Christmas baubles:
Gingerbread House — Felt Christmas Bauble
- Firstly, using the image as a guide, cut a brown gingerbread house, white roof, green door, snow and two grey circles from the felt.
- Take the green door and stitch in place onto the brown gingerbread house, along with one green button as a window.
- Next, take one grey felt circle and stitch on the snow, followed by the gingerbread house, followed by the snowy roof.
- Now, using the white tapestry wool, cross-stitch white snowflakes to make a snowy scene.
- Pin the two grey felt circles together and stitch all the way round leaving a 2cm opening. We used a blanket stitch.
- Use the 2cm opening to fill your felt Christmas bauble with polyester stuffing and then stitch up.
- To finish, thread the white satin ribbon through the top of the bauble, along with green and silver jingle bells.
- Voila! Your gingerbread house bauble is ready to go on the tree!
Button Christmas Tree — Felt Christmas Bauble
- Firstly, using the image as a guide, cut one brown tree trunk, two grey circles and snow from the felt.
- Choose an assortment of buttons and position them on the felt to form a Christmas tree shape.
- One by one, attach the buttons onto one grey circle using a needle and thread.
- Now, stitch the snowy land and the brown tree trunk onto the felt circle.
- Pin the two grey felt circles together and stitch all the way round leaving a 2cm opening. We used a blanket stitch.
- Use the 2cm opening to fill your felt Christmas bauble with polyester stuffing and then stitch up.
- To finish, thread the white satin ribbon through the top of the bauble, along with green and silver jingle bells.
- Voila! Your button Christmas tree bauble is ready to go!
Brown Bear in the Snow — Felt Christmas Bauble
- Firstly, print the brown bear template and use this a guide to cut one brown bear, two grey circles and snow from the felt.
- Take the brown bear felt shape and stitch one eye using black tapestry wool.
- Next, take one grey felt circle and stitch on the snow, followed by the brown bear.
- Now, using the white tapestry wool, cross-stitch white snowflakes to make a snowy scene.
- Pin the two grey felt circles together and stitch all the way round leaving a 2cm opening. We used a blanket stitch.
- Use the 2cm opening to fill your felt Christmas bauble with polyester stuffing and then stitch up.
- To finish, thread the white satin ribbon through the top of the bauble, along with green and silver jingle bells.
- Voila! Your brown bear bauble is ready to go on the tree!
